Recovery Update

JJ is getting stronger each day.  So far, we have had no further complications!!! JJ still has some pain in the leg and the donor site is a bit yucky but so far so good.  As of now, he is planning on starting back at the Back2Back Office next week.  We are outrageously grateful to the B2B leadership and the way they have supported us on this journey.  Because of their incredible support (and that of our support team) we are able to spend this season on home assignment...allowing us to still have a job while walking through JJ's treatment and recovery! We are so grateful!

JJ's surgeon will monitor his progress over the summer.  Then about 4 months out from surgery JJ will have scans and xrays done to check the healing of his bone.  If the bone is healing well, we can move forward with planning an outpatient procedures needed to deal with the cosmetics of the reconstruction.  According to the surgeon, JJ's neck area is a "hostile" environment. After radiation and 8 surgeries,  the scarring and blood vessels are a mess.   Dr. Patil feels like he could not repeat the reconstruction because of the condition of his neck area.  SO, we are praying like crazy that the bone HEALS this time.  We are trusting God no matter what but would LOVE to see an end to this season of surgeries.  We want complete healing for JJ's body.  We know that God CAN and often DOES heal, we just don't know what his plan is for JJ in this process. Won't you join us in praying for healing?
